In diffuse-reflective and retro-reflective photoelectric switches emitter and receiver are integrated in the same unit. Through-beam photoelectric switches have a separate emitter and receiver unit.

Photoelectric sensors are available in cylindrical housing M18, as FRM18 and WL series, in rectangular housing as the WS series or in barrier as SL2 series.
