Inductive sensors contain a transistor oscillator whose power consumption is influenced by the approach of metals and other electrically conductive materials, eg. coal.

The inductive sensors can be used in machines, systems and vehicles as limit switches, contactless position switches for monitoring and positioning, as pulse generator for counting task, distance and speed measurements and for many other applications.
